Welcome to my homepage!

I am an Assistant Professor (Instruct.) at the University of Houston. My research interest is in Applied Microeconomics, in which I study topics in Development Economics, Labor Economics, and Health Economics, with a focus on health & human capital in early childhood.

My research goal is to conduct policy-oriented analysis aimed at reducing inequality in human capital development and labor market outcomes. One strand of my research focuses on generating policy-relevant evidence on reducing child malnutrition. The second strand of my research studies the effects of safety net programs such as pension benefits for informal sector workers in developing countries. The third strand of my research focuses on reducing the persistence of poverty across generations.
